People want to help. This offers them a better, alternative way to express their condolences, sympathies and compassion as opposed to traditional methods.
A crowdfund donation link is placed on a loved one’s obituary page for visitors/donors to share. People will spread the word by copying and pasting this link to their friends, family, co-workers, worship members, etc. as well as their social media membership sites, texting and email. Then those individuals are asked to do the same.
The success of a crowdfund is based on how well the donation link is shared and promoted —spreading the word.
THE MONEY GO?
All donations go directly to the funeral home to be distributed per family wishes. You set the crowdfund goal amount.Donations may be applied to your wishes and expenses such as:
- Funeral Expenses
- Medical/Legal Expenses
- Scholarships etc.
If the crowdfund goal amount is surpassed, the family recieves the overage.
